Follow every step in the making of one of our French love tokens, from the first 3D sketch to the finished gold pendant handcrafted in our atelier in Aix-en-Provence.

Behind The Doors

Bienvenue a Aix en Provence

Behind this door, three generations of jewelry craftsmanship have passed down their knowledge. Today, the fourth generation is writing the next chapter.

Bienvenue dans mon jardin secret - Welcome to my secret garden.

Introduction

Every Evermine pendant begins long before the gold is melted.

It starts with an idea, a sketch, and countless hours spent refining every curve until the proportions are perfect. Our goal is simple: to create a pendant that will still be meaningful generations from now.

Everything happens inside this atelier. From the very first sketch and 3D design to resin printing, casting, polishing, stone setting, quality control, careful packaging, and finally shipping each creation to its new owner somewhere in the world.

Each creation combines traditional French jewelry craftsmanship with modern digital design.

1 Shaping an Idea

Even at this early stage, we can already visualize and refine the most beautiful gemstone combinations, ensuring every detail is perfectly balanced before the first piece of gold is ever melted.

2 Precision in Every Detail

Once the design is complete, the first physical model is produced using a high-precision resin 3D printer.

Before moving to the casting stage, every printed wax model is carefully inspected by hand.

Every surface, every engraving, every stone setting, and every tiny detail is examined under magnification. Only models that meet our standards move on to the next step.

This quality control is essential. It guarantees that the gold pendant will faithfully reproduce every detail imagined during the design process.

Perfection begins long before the gold is melted.

High-Precision 3D Printing

Every Evermine pendant begins as a digital design before taking shape in resin with our high-precision 3D printer. This technology allows us to capture every curve, every engraving, and every tiny detail with exceptional accuracy.

Each printed model is then carefully inspected by hand. Every surface, every stone setting, and every engraving is examined under magnification before moving to the next stage of the process.

Only after passing this quality control is the model ready to begin its transformation into gold

Cleaned Wax Models - Ready for Casting

3 Where Gold Comes to Life

Argon Chamber Casting Machine

Casting Flask

For more than 5,000 years, the lost-wax casting process has remained one of the finest methods for creating exceptional jewelry.

At Evermine, we combine this timeless technique with modern precision equipment capable of producing more than 150 high-quality castings every year, ensuring exceptional consistency and remarkable detail.

Each pendant begins as a carefully assembled wax tree. Once complete, it is enclosed inside a casting flask and surrounded by a high-precision investment plaster.

The flask is then placed inside the burnout furnace for approximately 18 hours. During this carefully controlled cycle, the wax model disappears completely, leaving behind only a perfect cavity inside the hardened investment.

This invisible imprint will soon receive fresh 18-karat gold, injected under a protective argon atmosphere to faithfully reproduce every curve, every engraving, and every stone setting imagined during the design process.

At that precise moment, an idea becomes gold.

Freshly Cast Raw Pendant

4 From Casting to Craftsmanship

  • Deburring

Freshly Separated from the Casting Tree

Once the casting is complete, the first step is a thorough inspection of the gold. Every pendant is carefully examined to ensure the casting is clean, precise and free from defects.

Once the quality inspection has been successfully completed, the work passes into the hands of our jeweler.

This stage is dedicated to preparing the pendant for one of the most delicate steps of its creation: stone setting. It is also one of the longest and most meticulous stages of the entire process.

During this stage, our jeweler will:

  • Remove the casting sprues and carefully eliminate every trace left by the casting process.

  • Correct any tiny imperfections by hand.

  • Level and refine every surface to achieve perfect geometry.

  • Brush and finish the gold to reveal its natural brilliance and bring the pendant to life.

  • Level every Surface

Surface refinement is one of the most important stages in bringing gold to life and revealing the full character of the pendant.

Every surface must be perfectly level and flawlessly finished so that natural light is reflected in the same direction across the entire pendant.

The uniformity of each surface determines the intensity of the gold’s brilliance and the stability of its reflections. It is this meticulous work that gives the pendant its depth, radiance and timeless beauty.

  • Brushing

Natural horsehair brush

Brush finishing is another essential step in the creation of every Evermine pendant. It completes the cleaning process while preparing the gold for its final polish.

Using a carefully selected range of natural horsehair brushes, our jeweler patiently refines every surface of the pendant. Each brush is chosen for a specific purpose, allowing even the smallest details to be reached without altering the precision of the design.

This is a meticulous process that requires time, patience and unwavering attention to detail. It is through these countless delicate movements that the gold gradually reveals its natural warmth, depth and brilliance before the final polishing and stone-setting stages.

  • Cleaning

Ultrasonic Bath

Throughout the creation of every Evermine pendant, ultrasonic cleaning is performed after each major step. This meticulous process removes every trace of dust, polishing compounds and microscopic particles, ensuring that each new stage begins on a perfectly clean foundation.

Only after a complete cleaning and a careful quality inspection does the pendant move on to the next stage of its journey toward becoming a finished piece of jewelry.

  • Quality Inspection, Cleaning & Pre-Finishing

Inspections

Once the quality inspection has been successfully completed and approved, the pendant is ready for the next stage of its creation.

  • Attaching the Bail

Bail attachment & final cleaning

Now it's time for the next step: Stones setting.

5 The Art of Stone Setting

  • Securing the Pendant in Setting Cement

Preparing the Pendant for Stone Setting

The pendant is secured to a wooden holder topped with setting cement, providing both stability and freedom of movement throughout the stone-setting process.

  • Precision Under the Microscope

Stone-setting Microscope

Every stage of the pendant’s preparation and stone-setting process is carried out under a microscope to ensure the highest possible level of precision.

  • Preparation for the Setting

Working with Different Burrs

The channels are carefully cut to allow the princess-cut stones to slide into place. This highly technical and time-consuming process requires the utmost care and precision.

This is the most crucial stage of the stone-setting process. Meticulous preparation ensures both the lasting security of the stones and the beauty of the finished setting.

  • Setting the Stones

  • Quality & Setting Security Inspection

  • Cleanning & Polishing

  • A pure Beauty is Born

And so this magnificent journey into the heart of our atelier comes to an end—from the first idea to the pure beauty of an exceptional pendant…

This Evermine “Forever Pink” Pendant has become a part of me. It was created with all my passion, and for as long as it exists, it will quietly carry the memory of my work.

Now, it is time for it to begin a new life, far from me.
